Stuart brings dynamism to classrooms with his unique presentations about languages and linguistics!

I had a fantastic session with R-6 children at School of Languages in Adelaide, South Australia using comic books and drama as the communication medium incorporating the Stanislavski Technique bringing the French comic book to life.

During my classes at Languages Alive, students entered the exciting world of la bande dessinée franco-belge (French and Belgian comic book literature) and acted out and created a collective comic book adventure in the French language. 

My Winter speaking tour for schools continues across Adelaide with French, Japanese, and Latin American students discussing my linguistics thesis investigations of la bande dessinée franco-belge (French and Belgian comic book literature), Japanese animation, and other world comics. 

I'm pictured below presenting to students studying the Japanese language and culture an investigation of the influence of Japanese animation and Manga on global society at the Nairne Primary School in the Adelaide Hills.

The use of language in context, image stereotypes, and representations was discussed followed by a workshop on character design and illustration.
