Professional Learning

Stuart is a language specialist teaching French, Indigenous & English to speakers of other languages and a lecturer of Constructed languages to university students. He brings dynamism to lecture halls and classrooms and teaches university lecturers and teachers how to use sequential art as a communication medium in the second language classroom using language meditation, improvisation, and theatre.

I was a featured presenter at the World Teacher Summits, Neurodiversity Teacher Summit in March 2025—an event designed to equip teachers worldwide with practical strategies to support neurodivergent students.

Neurolanguage Coaching: Brain Friendly Language Learning that brings Coaching and Neuroscientific principles into the learning environment, transforming language learning results for language educators and their learners worldwide.

This PL session conducted in France about discovering phonetic correction: strategies for FLE (Teaching French as a foreign language) was superb!

The language documentation program managed by the First Peoples' Cultural Council and the Endangered Languages Catalogue/Endangered Languages Project (ELCat/ELP) team at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa was a highly informative two-month series of weekly, real-time webinars playing a crucial role in preserving and revitalising indigenous languages.These languages are integral to cultural identity, heritage, and community cohesion.

This course is designed for Educators to use lived experience and evidence-based research to increase engagement and participation for their students with Autism Spectrum.

EduXchange was a five-day PD event where educators across Australia collaborated to share, learn, and lead.

Stuart presented a series of professional learning masterclasses for the French Teachers Association, The French Teacher's Network and high school students at Campbell High School in Canberra, Australia!

The Festival of Inclusive Education was a highly informative professional learning event discussing how to provide effective and efficient support for different learning needs, including how tech tools and AI can support personalised learning, and how to implement a digital learning strategy.

The movement and storytelling masterclass for teachers was a highly informative day of specialised education! 

Thanks to the University of Cambridge for a wonderful, highly informative two-day conference about Artificial Intelligence in Bilingual Education. 

The World Language Teacher Summits, conducted over five days, offered language teaching specialists a platform presenting the latest teaching methodologies.

LanguageCert is a global platform for specialist language teachers.

I was delighted to participate in a series of workshops presenting the latest techniques in teaching reading, writing, speaking, listening, and 21st century skills in critical thinking in the English language classroom.

The workshop about Artificial intelligence in Education presented by Flinders University was highly informative but also thought-provoking as we go boldly in a direction unchartered.

I look forward to the ongoing development of AI but also to maintaining a balance between AI integration and the essence of human learning.

 

The five-day event was fantastic, to say the least, with twenty-eight speakers and a platform to network with fellow language specialists from around the world!

The national conference is highly recommended for language specialists and language teaching professionals, providing a platform for speakers in the field and the marketing and promotion of one's skills and services.

A fantastic French study!

Following on from both of my university thesis investigations of la bande dessinée franco-belge, I had an  opportunity to undertake further study of the literature in the target language! 

The course is available online to a global audience in the French language.
