The first quarter of the year has been incredible, and I’m just getting warmed up!

What an inspiring experience presenting Language in Action™ to passionate educators and leaders at Canberra’s Educational Directorate!

It was a delight sharing this dynamic new pedagogy—where sequential art, language meditation, drama, and improvisation combine to ignite language learning in fresh and transformative ways.

Through interactive masterclasses, we explored how comics, storytelling, and embodied learning can reframe classrooms into immersive, student-centred spaces.

The enthusiasm and curiosity from Canberra’s language teachers and education professionals were energising.

A fantastic exhibition opening! 

What a brilliant day at the Adelaide Comic Convention and Toy Fair on April 13!

My exhibition, blending comics and storybooks in language education, was a real hit—sparking fantastic conversations with university lecturers and school teachers alike. 

It was exciting to share my Language in Action™ pedagogy and see such enthusiasm for visual storytelling in language learning. 

The exhibition offered valuable scholarly insights into multimodal literacy, cognitive engagement, and narrative-based learning. Language in Action™ continues to draw attention for its innovative integration of comics, drama, and improvisation to enhance linguistic competence, cultural awareness, and learner motivation in second-language classrooms. A true fusion of creativity and education!
